Waxing Poetic: Ruins Hall

Ruins Hall

Welcome all to Ruins Hall

Where colors bleed and fall to the ground

Dripping lost words of distorted prophecy

And long drowned dreams

Welcome all to Ruins Hall

Where concrete and steel boldly stand

A home for crows to stand in rows

A jury of nature’s peers

Welcome all to Ruins Hall

 Where civilization crumbles and falls

False stones standing in homage

To mankind’s failed ascendency.

Welcome all to Ruins Hall

Where the law abides on natures rules

Immune to our arrogant demands

To rearrange the universe

Welcome all to Ruins hall

Where the past decays yet refuses to yield

Rust oozing like blood of a mechanized grave

That we overly grieve for.

Welcome all to Ruins Hall

Where lessons are learned and passed along

Footpaths where we must learn to wander

In a forest grown from barren ground.

  1. This has the feeling of things we can change but only if we want to change. We all bleed inside at some stage of our lives but it’s what we do to make ourselves change that make us strong.
